The activity that we most highly recommend at 10 North By The Sea is quite simply Rest and Relaxation. We encourage our guests to unwind and lay aside daily stresses to tune in to their own special state of Tranquility.

BEACH

With the Lakshadweep Sea so close at hand, swimming or strolling on the beach are perfect activities, depending on how much you want to exert yourself.

Do remember to keep an eye out. If you are lucky, you might just spot the dolphins frolicking in the water. You are sure to spot the regal Brahminy Kites, in any case.

BACKWATERS

When you are not relaxing on the beach in the warm waters, explore the countryside. Cycle down narrow country paths bordering canals and backwaters that cars just can’t access and discover a whole new way of life. Meet folk who are just at home on the water as on land. And discover places where a canoe is parked outside most homes. Or hire a houseboat for a day-trip down incredibly beautiful backwaters.

FISHING

You could always ask the local fishermen to let you join them one day. If an early morning boat ride to fish is not your thing, then maybe you could try to learn the Art of Casting a Net, wading close to shore as the solitary fishermen on the island do.

Angling is also available at the State-run Matsyafed Fish Farm that is within walking distance of the villa.

FLORA & FAUNA

Discover the birds and other fauna on the island and nearby. In winter, migratory birds escaping from colder climates, add to the variety.

DISCOVER KERALA

If you want to explore further, hire a car and drive down the greenery-soaked roads that string through tiny villages and small towns dotted with ancient temples and whitewashed old churches dating back thousands of years. Let your imagination soar in places that were the sought-after destination of ships from the ancient kingdoms of the Pharaohs, Greeks and Romans, among others, seeking the fabled riches, spices and fine textiles of Kerala.

FORT KOCHI

And Fort Kochi with all its historical charm is just a brief and very scenic ferry ride away from the southern tip of the island.
